The ongoing second Test between Bangladesh and West Indies at Sabina Park witnessed a brilliant moment as Litton Das and Nahid Rana teamed up to remove Kavem Hodge for a low score. Litton Das showcased his flexibility and agility as he grabbed onto the catch and helped Nahid grab a wicket.

Hodge, who has failed to fire his bat in the last three innings, departed for just three runs off 12 balls. Following his wicket, West Indies witnessed a massive collapse as the team were bundled out for 146 runs in their first innings.

Litton Das-Nahid Rana Partner Up vs Windies

In the 47th over, Rana bowled a good length delivery with pace written all over it; Hodge hung back and aimed to poke it off the back foot; however, he got a thick edge that flew straight towards the right.

Litton Das dived full stretch to his right, almost emulating 'Superman', and took the catch with his right hand. To verify its fairness, the umpire checked, and as the replays revealed, Litton had taken the catch cleanly, which caused Hodge to walk back to the pavilion with disappointment.

Nahid Rana Picks Up His Maiden Five-Wicket Haul

Eventually, Nahid Rana sliced through the batting line-up of the Windies as he picked up a shining five-wicket haul by dismissing key batters like Kraigg Brathwaite, Mikyle Louis and including tailenders Alzarri Joseph and Kemar Roach. This was his maiden five wicket haul in Test cricket.

What happened on Day 3 of BAN vs WI 2nd Test?

On Day 3, Bangladesh strengthened their position with a commanding first-innings lead of 211 runs. West Indies, starting at 70/1, were quickly dismantled by Nahid Rana's express pace, as he claimed a maiden five-wicket haul, supported by Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and others.

West Indies were bowled out for just 126, with Keacy Carty top-scoring on 40. In Bangladesh's second innings, Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Mehidy Hasan Miraz provided a quickfire 70-run partnership. Miraz fell for 42, and Shadman Islam was dismissed for 46. Litton Das (25) and Jaker Ali (29*) ensured Bangladesh finished the day on 154/5.
