Seems like Mohammed Siraj cannot catch a break on this Australian tour. The Indian seamer was involved in a heated exchange with Travis Head during the second Test match in Adelaide, and it resulted in him getting a fine from the ICC.
He received a lot of flak from the Australian and Indian media for unnecessary provoking Head, however, in the ongoing 3rd Test match at the Gabba, Siraj was at the receiving end of a verbal abuse, this time from Australia's Marnus Labuschagne.
The incident unfolded in the 33rd over of the Australian innings, when Siraj went to the strikers end to change the bails. This didn't go well with Marnus Labuschagne as the batter had a verbal spat with the Indian seamer as he tried to provoke him.
However, unlike the previous Test, Siraj didn't bother at all as he moved away from Labuschagne and was taken away by Shubman Gill as the crowd booed him.
Labuschagne eventually dismissed cheaply
The verbal attack on Siraj didn't took him anywhere as Labuschagne was eventually dismissed in the next over by Nitish Kumar Reddy. The Aussie number 3 batter struggled for runs throughout the innings and couldn't get going as he chased a fuller length ball outside the off and Virat Kohli in the slips took a sharp catch.
Despite the wicket, India's two biggest headaches are still occupying the crease as Steve Smith, alongside Travis Head are playing together and will look to score quickly as the sun is out and the batting will get a touch easier.
India will need to get Head out quickly as the batter as the ability to take the game away in the blink of an eye.
