A funny incident occurred during the third and final One-Day International (ODI) between South Africa and India, where spinner Keshav Maharaj and stand-in skipper KL Rahul could be witnessed indulging in fan banter.

Under Rahul's captaincy, India went on to clinch the three-ODI series 2-1 after notching up a memorable 78-run victory at Paarl last evening, which was the Men in Blue's second-ever 50-overs series win in the Rainbow Nation. 

The banter took place during the Proteas chase, when Maharaj walked out to bat, with the hosts in a ditch on 177 for 6 in 33.2 overs, which the stump mics picked up.

As Maharaj walked in the DJ started playing the song ' Ram Siya Ram', which prompted Rahul to quiz the incoming batter about how every time the same song is played while the bowling all-rounder cricketer comes onto the crease.

Maharaj in his jovial manner, agreed with Rahul and smiled back at the wicketkeeper-batter.

The 33-year-old Indian-origin cricketer has often publicly flaunted his roots and on several visits to India with South Africa, has managed to sneak in visits to famous Hindu temples as well. 

Meanwhile, both Rahul and Maharaj will next be seen playing against each other in the upcoming two-Test series between India and South Africa, where Rohit Sharma lead the visitors, while Temba Bavuma will captain the hosts.

The first Test will be played on Boxing Day at Centurion.
