Phil Salt was at his very best for Lancashire on Wednesday (July 18) when they met Nottinghamshire in Match 113 of the T20 Blast 2024 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.

The 27-year-old, who was in sublime form for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2024, took the attack to Luke Fletcher, who was at the receiving end when Lancashire were on a hurry to finish things off quickly.

During the sixth over of the innings, Fletcher bowled a short of a length delivery outside the off stump. Salt, while waiting for it, slapped it hard over deep point, and the ball sailed over the ropes for six runs.

On the next ball, Salt became more aggressive against Fletcher, as he charged down the ground to slam him over cover region for another half-a-dozen.

Riding on Salt's 42-ball 70, laced with five sixes and three fours, Lancashire took only 14.3 overs to see off a 132-run target. Liam Livingstone played a handy cameo as well, smashing 54* off 37 balls, as they eased past the opposition without much problem.
