[Watch] Taijul Islam ‘Traps’ Kane Williamson Marvellously With A Beauty

After asking New Zealand to chase a challenging target of 332, Bangladesh produced a spirited performance on Day 4 of the first Test of the two-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. The Tigers, at the time of writing, have reduced the Kiwi to 51/4, with Taijul Islam being the pick of the bowlers, having claimed 2/17.

The first and probably biggest wicket that Taijul picked was of Kane Williamson. The last ball of the 10th over that Taijul bowled was a nicely tossed-up delivery that pitched around the off and middle stumps at full length. Williamson tried to go for a front-foot defence, but failed to get to the line of that delivery.

The ball then hit his pad, and there was a huge LBW appeal as soon as it struck. As soon as the on-field umpire raised his finger, the Sylhet crowd, as well as every Bangladesh player were ecstatic.
