Dhruv Jurel's cameo of 28 runs off 18 balls came to an end on Sunday  in Match 61 of Indian Premier League 2024 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium.  

Tushar Deshpande scalped his first wicket of the day and he dismissed Dhruv Jurel. The 23-year-old hammered it hard for a six but failed to time it properly as the ball landed safely into the hands of Shardul Thakur at the cover.

After Jurel was out Shubham Dubey came in to bat. Tushar Deshpande struck again on the very next ball and this time, he dismissed the 29-year-old cricketer for a golden duck. Dubey tried to get a boundary but his shot landed into the hands of Shivam Dubey at the backward point. 

At the end of the first innings, Rajasthan Royals scored 141/5 in 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings. For RR, Riyan Parag remained unbeaten at 47 off 35 balls, while Dhruv Jurel scored 28 off 18 balls.

Apart from them, Yashasvi Jaiswal also scored 24 off 21 balls. For CSK, uncapped pacer Simarjeet Singh was the star bowler as he registered an impressive three-wicket haul, which included wickets of RR's star top three -- Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sanju Samson.
