The 3rd and final Test between Pakistan and England is underway at the Rawalpindi Stadium. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision turned out to be good as the England openers stitched a 56-run opening stand.

While Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley were going strong, Noman Ali, who was the hero in the last match, got the breakthrough for the hosts and got rid of Crawley.

Joe Root Struggles Against Spin

Soon, Sajid Khan, who registered a seven-wicket haul in the last match, put his name into the wicket board and got the crucial wicket of Ollie Pope. In the latest events, Sajid has striked again and got the big fish Joe Root out.

On the last ball of the 21st over, Sajid bowled an outside-off fuller delivery, that came sharply back in and left Root stunned. The former England skipper was stunned by the spin and was plumbed in front of the wickets. He was sure that he was out and did not waste a review for his side and returned to the pavilion with a score of 5(6).

Joe Root's String Of Poor Runs

Joe Root started the Test series on a high, as he scored a double hundred 262 (375) in the first Test. However, since Pakistan shifted towards slower and rank-turner tracks, Root is struggling to score runs.

In the second Test, Root scored 18 and 34. Talking about the ongoing match, Root departed for five. At the time of writing this article, England are in trouble and have lost four wickets for 98 runs, with Noman and Sajid taking two wickets each.
