Pakistan is taking on England in the all-important series decider at the Multan Cricket Ground. With the series poised at 1-1, the team winning this game will walk away with the trophy.
Ben Stokes, the captain of the English team, won the toss in the third match and opted to bat first. The two openers of the English team, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, got the team off to a steady start. They stitched together a 56-run partnership and set the stage for the team to post a formidable total on the board. It looked like the two openers would bat the home team out of the match.
Noman Ali Drew A False Shot From Crawley
However, one of Pakistan's stars from the previous game, Noman Ali, picked up the wicket of Zak Crawley and halted the partnership from prospering. On the last delivery of the 14th over, Ali bowled a tossed-up delivery outside the off stump, inviting an expansive drive from the right-handed opener. Crawley did not connect the ball properly and got a leading edge, which ended up in the hands of Saim Ayub at the backward point.
The wicket gave Pakistan a headstart in the game and a chance to restrict England to a manageable total. Pakistan has dealt another blow to England, dismissing Ollie Pope. England was pushed to the back foot early in the match and will be hoping for a solid partnership in the middle order to make a comeback.
