Heinrich Klaasen did a brilliant piece of gloveswork, stumping Shikhar Dhawan off a 140 kph delivery from Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Tuesday during SRH’s IPL 2024 clash against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. The South African international reminded fans of MS Dhoni, who used to stump at a lightning quick pace in his early days for both club and country.

After coming to chase 183, Dhawan had the job of leading by example. However, an excellent bit of bowling from Bhuvneshwar did not let it happen, as he asked Klaasen to come up instead of staying behind.

And the plan worked, as Dhawan decided to step up to attack the veteran fast bowler. However, the extra pace beat Dhawan’s outside edge before Klaasen did the rest, lighting the bails to send PBKS skipper packing.

Meanwhile, PBKS are 51/3 after 8.3 overs, with Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran in the middle, on 10* and 22* respectively. They still require 132 runs off 69 balls to pull off a memorable chase.

Earlier in the game, Nitish Reddy starred with bat, scoring 64 off 37 balls to take SRH to 182/9 after Punjab asked them to bat first.
