The 33rd match of IPL 2024 saw one of the finest catch of the season from Ishan Kishan as he displayed some amazing gravity-defying skills to send back Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh back for a duck.

It was the first over of Punjab Kings' chase and they needed a good start after Mumbai Indians posted 192 on the board. Sam Curran opened the innings alongside Prabhsimran Singh and started off with a brilliant punch for a boundary. 

The next ball was a wayward delivery, and resulted in five wides. The next ball was a leg bye and it seemed that Punjab Kings will make it a successful first over, but the next delivery resulted in a big blow for Punjab Kings which resulted in flurry of wickets in the Powerplay and Punjab Kings were almost knocked out in the initial phase of their chase.

The wicket delivery was also a poor one, a short delivery and down the leg side. Prabhsimran Singh tried to pull it, but only got enough bat to hit it left of Ishan Kishan behind the stumps. Kishan though, showed great spirit and skills and dived full-length to take a blinder of a catch.

Punjab Kings were eventually reduced to 77-6 in the 10th over and it was again left to the duo of Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma to take them over the line.
