Hardik Pandya continues to bore the wrath of Rohit Sharma fans, considering the Mumbai Indians skipper was brutally jeered by the Mullanpur crowd during a pre-game training session on April 18.

Mere moments prior to the start of Mumbai Indians’ away IPL 2024 clash against hosts Punjab Kings, a number of self-proclaimed Rohit Sharma fans chanted in support of their favorite cricketer while besmirching the newly-elected skipper.

Ever since the Mumbai Indians franchise replaced its decade-long skipper Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder has been coping constant online trolling and on-field abuses by fans of the former captain.

After being jeered by the Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai’s Wankhede crowd, Pandya’s demons seem to have travelled along with him to Mullanpur in time for his team’s away IPL 2024 clash against Punjab Kings. Moments prior to the launch of the game, when the cricketer was practicing near the boundary line, a section of a seemingly hostile crowd chanted pro-Rohit Sharma and anti-Hardik Pandya slogans.

Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians coped demoralizing defeats in each of their first three fixtures this IPL 2024 season. However, the five-time IPL winners did make a brief comeback by defeating Delhi Capitals and RCB in successive games before they were humbled by defending champions CSK at Wankhede.

As of now, Hardik Panyda’s Mumbai Indians seem to have taken complete control over Punjab Kings, considering his bowlers reduced the hosts to 14-4 while defending a staggering 193-run target.

Pandya himself, however, failed to make an impact in the game as he managed to score just 10 runs in the death overs of the high-scoring Mumbai Indians innings.
