In the recently concluded do-or-die U19 Asia Cup 2024 match between India and UAE, the Boys In Blue registered a brilliant 10-wicket win to qualify for the semi-finals. It was a brilliant team effort, as all eleven players contributed in all three departments.
Pangalia Makes MS Dhoni Proud With His Effort
Meanwhile, keeper Harvansh Pangalia hogged the internet after he attempted a MS Dhoni-inspired run-out. Notably, UAE, batting first, tumbled for just 137 runs. Pangalia took three catches in the innings and did his part with the gloves.
During one of the overs, Pangalia collected a wayward throw, and in an attempt to run the batter out, he made a no-look throw and hit the stumps. However, the batsman was well inside the crease.
Notably, Dhoni, during his playing years, made a name for himself for innovative skills behind the stumps. He was one of the few keepers to make this kind of no-look throw at stumps and often got successful.

Talking about the match, UAE, batting first, collapsed for 137 as Yudhajit Guha took a three-wicket haul to leave UAE crippled. Chetan Sharma and Hardik Raj also made a name for themselves and two wickets each.
In reply, the Indian batters dominated from the first ball as openers Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi stitched an unbeaten 143-run stand to seal a 10-wicket win for India. Notably, Mhatre, who registered his second straight fifty, scored 67 (51), while Vaibhav was the leading run-getter and amassed 76 (46), which featured three fours and six sixes.
