Pakistan and their fielding have always been the talk of the town over the years. The Men in Green were incredibly humiliated when they were in India for the 2023 World Cup.

Even after that, when they toured Australia for a Test series, their sloppiness in the fielding department was evident, leaving fans across the world in splits. And it continued on Friday (January 12) as well during their first T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland.

After Babar Azam dropped a simple catch off Kane Williamson, Usama Mir came to bowl the 10th over of New Zealand’s innings to the Kiwi opener. He tried to cut Mir, only to find a top edge towards the third man region.

Placed at short third, Iftikhar Ahmed jumped in an attempt to take a catch, only to see it drop miserably after several attempts at juggling.

New Zealand, after Pakistan asked them to bat, are in total control in Auckland. As of writing, they have reached 153/3 in 13.2 overs, with Daryl Mitchell going strong, batting on 42* off 17 deliveries.
