[Watch] Babar Azam Drops A Dolly As Pakistani Fielding Becomes Laughing Stock Yet Again

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam continued his torrid run in the Australian continent, as he dropped a dolly to give ace batter Kane Williamson a lifeline during the first T20I against New Zealand in Auckland.

The incident occurred in the fifth over when Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi introduced Abbas Afridi into the attack to break the budding stand between Williamson and Finn Allen. After conceding six runs off his first three deliveries, the right-arm pacer managed to draw Williamson into a false shot.

The ball went straight up in the air, as Babar Azam, stationed at long on, attempted to catch it. However, he failed miserably, dropping a sitter and providing Williamson with a lucky escape.

However, one ball later, Afridi dismissed Allen, who had already struck 34 runs off just 15 deliveries. After the keeper-batter's dismissal, in-form batter Daryl Mitchell joined Williamson in the middle to steady the ship for the BlackCaps.

Earlier, after being put into bat first, New Zealand got off to a disastrous start, losing Devon Conway for a golden duck in the second ball of the first over. However, Allen's blistering cameo ensured a remarkable comeback for the hosts, who are placed at 61 for two in seven overs as of writing.
