Hotchandani was entrusted to bowl the final over of the game, and on the first ball of the over, she struck perfectly. Richa Ghosh, who was at the striker's end, responded with skill and determination.

She cut the short and wide outside-off delivery hard and travelled straight to the extra cover fielder at the circle's edge. The fielder picked it up and threw it at the non-striker's end, and the bowler picked it up and took off the bails quickly. Harmanpreet wanted the quick single but was sent back by her Ghosh, and she was just short of her crease.

However, the third umpire was summoned for a run-out check, and Harmanpreet Kaur looked in deep trouble. As the replays showed, the bowler, Heena, had dislodged the bails with the ball in her hand, and Harman was just short of the crease.
