Pakistan's speedster Haris Rauf provided them with the much-needed breakthrough. He took the wicket of Ishan Kishan who was cruising through Pakistan's bowling attack. Along with him, Hardik Pandya was taking the game away from the Men in Green.
Coming back in his new spell, Rauf dismissed Ishan Kishan 38th over. He trapped Ishan to play the half-hearted pull shot and off to a leading edge to mid-on. The Pakistan skipper Babar Azam did the rest to break the century stand.
The crucial partnership rescued India from the jaws of batting collapse to a 200-plus score. Both the batters batted brilliantly. But a few overs back, Ishan was seen limping. He got some treatment in between the overs and it seemed he got cramps. Post that, he was trying to maximise most runs, while attempting to do that he got out to Haris Rauf.
What transpired next made the buzz as Rauf gave a send-off to Ishan Kishan in the heat of the moment, to which Ishan didn't react, but it caught the eyes of fans watching the match.
In the next over, Hardik Pandya responded back with three boundaries off that over. Some classic cricketing shots from the bat of man in form Hardik were treat to watch. Even he looked pumped up. Fans took this response to social media and expressed their joy.
These banters keep the game interesting among the fans. They engage themselves in such interactions and keep the buzz alive. However, after that, India started losing wickets one after another. They ended up scoring 266 runs on the board, as they have recovered quite well after early blows; now it's upto the Indian bowlers to pull this game off in their favour.
Alas, at the time of time, the rain has begun to pour down yet again, with the groundsmen had covered the whole arena with covers.
