What happened to Hardik Pandya?

It was the 9th over of the game, and Hardik Pandya bowled a half-volley on off. Litton Das, with all his class and flair, played a beautiful straight drive past Hardik Pandya. The Indian all-rounder tried to stop it with his right leg but failed to do so. However, he ended up hurting his left ankle and could barely walk, as physio and Indian players surrounded him.

After some treatment, he got on his feet and tried running but was still in pain and eventually decided to walk off the field. A loud cheer followed as Virat Kohli decided to finish the rest of the over, but more importantly, Indian fans would be hoping that Hardik would be fit and raring to go soon.

Hardik Pandya - An injury-prone superstar

Hardik Pandya has a long history of injuries and from 2020, there was a period of a year or two where he could not bowl for India due to his fitness concerns. He is an important member of this Indian side though as he provides great balance with his ability to change the game both with the bat and ball. So, naturally India rely a lot on Hardik and would be itching to see their superstar get back on the field and weave his magical all-round skills.
