In the extravangaza between Trent Rockets and Northern Superchargers, the Trent batters staged an electrifying show as they clubbed 185 in their quota of 100 balls on Friday evening. Opener Tom Banton laid an explosive platform, before Sam Hain and Chris Green took off in the latter half of the innings.

Banton batted beautifully for 38-ball 66, but it was Hain's berserk 49 and Green's crucial cameo of 25* off just seven balls. The Australian bowling all-rounder, in his brief knock, smacked as many as three maximums, one of which was smoked out of the park off Matthew Potts.

In the second last set of the innings, Chris Green got a gift from Potts - a fuller ball in his arc. The Aussie didn't think twice as he made room and got under the ball to slog the ball way over deep mid wicket.

Ahead of the Hundred 2024, the Rockets took Green on loan from Manchester Originals in the absence of Rashid Khan, who is on his way from the MLC 2024. After the Afghan maestro joins the Trent squad, Green will return to the Originals.

Nevertheless, the Superchargers have begin their chase with Oliver Robinson and Graham Clark going solid in the powerplay. After first four sets, Northern Superchargers have reached 37 for the loss of no loss.
