Chris Lynn and David Wiese staged a contest for the ages for cricket fans across the globe during the clash between Mississauga Panthers and Montreal Tigers in the Global T20 2024.

On Friday, during the first innings of Mississauga versus Montreal, Chris Lynn and Wiese showcased a brilliant cricketing battle just in a span of five balls. In the second over of the match, it was first the Australian's turn to bash the former Namibian all-rounder for as many as two biggies before David Wiese got his revenge on the fifth ball of the over.

Watch: Lynn vs Wiese goes to next level

Lynn welcomed the veteran all-rounder with a maximum over covers on ball one before the seamer bowled two dots. However, the Aussie opener thrashed another sixer just over deep mid-wicket, forcing Wiese to do something out of the box.

The seamer then dished a slower full delivery, on which Lynn got outfoxed as he stepped out of the crease but only to miss the ball onto his stumps. 

Eventually, Lynn could only play a total of seven balls to score his 12 runs. Meanwhile, Wiese chipped away three wickets, including scalps of Lynn, Ashton Agar and Aditya Varadarajan.

Meanwhile, the Tigers were able to put on 189 runs on the boards, thanks to the efforts from Agar (41), Tim Seifert (44) and Ben Manenti (40).
