As expected, New Zealand made a mockery of the Pakistan team and thrashed them in a one-sided contest to seal the win and take a 2-0 lead in the series. The game was reduced to a 15-overs affair after rain threatened to play spoilsport, but the match underwent and the home side had a cakewalk against the visitors.
103m monstrous hit by Finn Allen
The Kiwis needed 136 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series and their openers, Tim Seifert and Finn Allen went berserk as the duo tore apart the Pakistan attack with utmost ease. Seifert also slammed 24 runs in a single over from Shaheen Afridi and soon, Allen joined the party.
With Seifert taking down Shaheen, Allen decided to attack his potential successor, Jahandad Khan as the Kiwi batter slammed a 103m monstrous hit and the ball went out of the park.
Jahandad bowled a short of a length ball as Finn Allen cleared his front leg and muscled the ball well over the deep mid wicket region as the ball went out of the ground for a huge six.
Another flop show by Pakistan batters
Just like the first match, Pakistan batters failed to deliver once again as they crumbled at the top. Mohammad Haris (11) and Hasan Nawaz (0) failed for the second successive matches as Pakistan looked in dire need of runs.
Agha Salman, the Pakistan T20I captain stepped up as he scored a brisk 46, and Shadab Khan provided the finishing touches as the visitors somehow managed to score 135/9.
