In a rather unusual display, a fan donning the Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) iconic green jersey was spotted amidst the crowd during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 match, cheering enthusiastically for Babar Azam.

The match, which featured a high-octane clash between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday was already a spectacle of passion and excitement which was further boosted by this unique show of support.

The RCB jersey, synonymous with Indian stalwart Virat Kohli, showcased the fan's admiration for both Kohli and Babar Azam as it highlighted the global appeal of cricket that goes beyond international rivalries. 

This fan's presence in the stands, amidst a sea of Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars supporters immediately went viral on social media and attracted a lot of attention.

Meanwhile, in response to Lahore captain Shaheen Afridi's decision to field first, Peshawar Zalmi's opening duo, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub, seized the opportunity with open arms, unleashing an onslaught from the very first delivery.

Their aggressive approach paid off handsomely, propelling the team to a formidable 211/4 - thanks to gung-ho show put on by Saim Ayub and Rovman Powell. 

For Lahore Qalandars, Rassie van der Dussen tried his best with an unbeaten 104, but Peshawar outfoxed them eventually by 8 runs.
