Pakistan's swashbuckling batter Fakhar Zaman showcased his extraordinary hitting skills in the Markhors' ongoing Champions Cup encounter against the Stallions at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Opening the batting for the Markhors, Fakhar struck a valuable 39-run cameo, exhibiting his batting form in the domestic tournament.

Although the batter hit five glorious boundaries, his monstrous six off Ubaid Shah grabbed the maximum attention. The incident occurred during the fifth over of the Markhors' innings when the Stallions were searching for the first breakthrough.

With the Markhors' scoreboard reading only 19 runs, Fakhar decided to switch gears as soon as Ubaid charged in to deliver the first ball of his over. From over the wicket, the right-arm pacer bowled a full-length delivery, inviting Fakhar Zaman to take the advantage of the field restrictions.

The explosive southpaw grabbed the opportunity with both hands, as he cleared his front leg and played his trademark lofted shot over the on-side field. He struck the ball so powerfully that it sailed over the cow corner fence for a massive six. However, Fakhar couldn't convert his start into a big score, being dismissed for 39 runs by Usman Tariq.

Stallions In A Commanding Position vs Markhors

Batting first, the Markhors posted a competitive total of 170 runs. However, the Stallions have been prolific during the run-chase, thanks to Maaz Ahmed Sadaqat's blistering fifty. At the time of writing, the Stallions were 122 for two, with Mohammad Haris and Shoaib Malik batting on 77* and 8*, respectively.
