In the latest development around the Ranji Trophy, India's star batter Virat Kohli is all set to make his much-awaited return to the Ranji Trophy. According to reports from ABP, Kohli will miss the upcoming round against Saurashtra but has made himself available for the next round against Railways on January 30.
Virat will mark his return to the Ranji Trophy after a wait of 13 years. The last time Kohli played in domestic cricket was back in 2012. Earlier, there were reports that Virat, who was named in Delhi's provisional squad, will not feature against Saurashtra because of a neck sprain.
Why Is Virat Kohli Playing Ranji Trophy 2025?
Notably, Virat is going through a slump with the bat as the star batter struggled to score runs in the recent past. He had a terrible BGT, where he repeated a similar mistake and was dismissed outside the off-stump. Following the embarrassment against Australia, the Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir had asked the players to return to domestic cricket to regain their lost mojo.
Thus, several stars have abided by the instructions, as Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Siraj are all set to play in the next round of the Ranji Trophy.
