Haris Rauf is one of the premier bowlers for Pakistan in white-ball formats and has won many games for his country over the years. He has played 45 ODIs and 79 T20Is for Pakistan, but has won only one Test, and it seems that the man is now determined to make his comeback in the longest format.

He has made his long-awaited first-class comeback in the ninth match of President's Trophy Grade-1 and is playing for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. The opponents are State Bank Of Pakistan and in the first innings, Rauf's team go bowled out for 242. So, Sui Northern needed early wickets with the ball and the star international cricketer delivered with two wickets in two balls.

Haris Rauf Displays His Red-Ball Credentials On First-Class Return

Haris Rauf came as a first-change bowler and when the team's score was 47, the pacer got the better of opener Zaid Khan. It was a back-of-a-length delivery, around off and the left-handed batter tried to push it away from his body, he only managed to get an inside edge though and the ball shattered the stumps.

The number three batter, Mohammad Saleem then departed on the very first ball as Rauf bowled a lovely delivery in that channel around off. The batter tried to drive the ball, but it caught the outside edge of the blade and wicketkeeper Saifullah Bangash took a brilliant catch.

It meant that Haris was on a hattrick on his first-class return, and Rauf came charging in. He bowled a lovely good-length delivery, around off to the left-hander and as the batter decided to leave the ball, it missed the off pole by a whisker.

It would be interesting to see how Haris Rauf shapes up as the game progresses, but he has surely started well and has shown great form in recent times at the international level too.
