In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 match between Bangladesh and South Africa at the Nassau County International Stadium, Proteas' decision to bat first against The Tigers backfired as they lost four early wickets.

Despite early hitting from Quinton de Kock, South Africa lost four early blows and went from 11/0 to 23/4. Heinrich Klaasen walked to bat at the time of misery, and at the time of writing this article, he has stitched a 67-runs stand for the 5th wicket with birthday boy David Miller.

Klaasen also unleashed his rampage mode against the spinners as he bashed Rishad Hossain in the 10th over. On the third and fourth delivery of Hossain's over, Klassen smashed two consecutive sixes. Notably, the first six was monstrous and it was a 91-metre maximum, while the second six was a regular shot for the 32-year-old.  Watch the video here.

Klaasen has proved to be one of the best middle-order T20I batters in recent times and is looking to put a big total on the board at the Nassau Stadium. Notably, Canada have the highest score of 137 at this venue and the Proteas would be eyeing to break that.
