India pulled off a miraculous win against Pakistan on Sunday, June 9 at the Nassau International Stadium, as they beat the Men in Green by 6 runs. Despite having just 119 runs on the board, Indian bowlers, particularly Jasprit Bumrah, stunned Babar Azam and Co. with his magical spell.

Notably, Bumrah took three crucial wickets of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed to register the figures of 14/3 in his quota of four overs. The 31-year-old won the player of the match award for his performance and trended on social media platforms as he proved to be the point of difference between the two teams.

Several fans and cricket pundits praised Bumrah and even touted him as the best bowler of all time in white-ball history. However, what might shock fans is if they see Bumrah's ranking in ICC's chart for T20I bowlers.

Notably, the 31-year-old seamer, who has instilled fear in the opposition's mind with his disciplined bowling is ranked 110th with a rating of 364. Here is why Jasprit, who was once the No.1 T20I bowler in the world is now outside the top 100 in the rankings.

Truth Behind Bumrah's ICC Rankings

In July 2022, Bumrah was ruled out of cricket action following a back injury. The right-arm seamer missed the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2022 and had to even undergo back surgery in March 2023. After being out of action for nearly a year, Jasprit returned to action against Ireland in August 2023. Since then, the MI star bowler has played just two T20Is in 2023 and two this year which explains why his ranking is placed outside the top 100.

Overall, Bumrah, easily the best bowler at present across formats, has played 64 matches and taken 79 wickets. In the ongoing T20 World Cup, the right-arm seamer has taken five wickets and also won the Player of the Match award against Ireland as well.
