Virat Kohli, the current Orange Cap holder, continued his incredible form this season, but his efforts were cut short in the eliminator match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 23. 

Kohli scored a valiant 33 runs off 24 balls before being dismissed, a crucial moment in the match.RR won the toss and opted to bowl first, a decision that paid off as they managed to dismiss RCB skipper Faf du Plessis early. 

The turning point came in the eighth over when leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, bowling his first over, struck gold by removing the dangerous Kohli, with the help of Donovan Ferreira.

Chahal delivered a flighted leg break straight on the stumps. Kohli attempted a slog sweep but failed to get the necessary elevation. Ferreira, positioned at deep mid-wicket, took a fine catch above his head with a reverse cup grip, just a few inches inside the boundary rope. 

This dismissal was a significant breakthrough for RR, eliminating one of RCB's most potent batsmen.

At the time of writing, RCB stands at 76 for 2 in 11 overs, with Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar at the crease, working to stabilize the innings and build a competitive total.
