David Warner's wicket in Global T20 Canada 2024 (X.com)
David Warner could not do much while captaining Brampton Wolves on Sunday in Match 5 of the Global T20 Canada 2024, taking place in Brampton. The veteran opener could only score 4 off 2 balls before Jason Behrendorff, the former Mumbai Indians pacer, sent him back to the pavilion for a two-ball four.
Warner, just after smashing a four off the first ball, got a thin edge off Behrendorff. Placed at wide slip, Nicholas Kirton made no mistake while taking the catch, and hence, Warner had to depart without making much impact.

Eventually, Toronto Nationals saw off a 111-run chase with ease, as they got the job done in just 13.2 overs. Unmukt Chand, in particular, was impressive, as he made 53* off 40 balls to make the contest look like men against boys.
Earlier, Junaid Siddique was the pick of the bowler for Brampton Wolves, picking 3/23 off his 3.1 overs. Romario Shepherd and Jason Behrendorff had two wickets each, while Saad Bin Zafar and Roston Chase had a wicket apiece.
