Batting first, London Spirit had a disastrous start to their innings, losing four key wickets, including Meg Lanning, with only 61 runs on the board. However, Deepti brought her A-game, saving her side from a precarious situation.
Although she played several scintillating shots, her slog sweep off Hayley Matthews took the maximum limelight.
From round the wicket, Matthews bowled a full-length ball on the stumps, as Deepti went down on one knee to slap the ball over deep mid-wicket stand for a maximum.
Her audacious shot reminded fans of Rishabh Pant, who generally plays such kind of aggressive shots.
Her counterattacking stand with Danielle Gibson powered London Spirit to 150/5 in 100 balls. In response, Welsh Fire Women chased the target successfully in 95 deliveries, as Hayley Matthews played a magnificent unbeaten knock of 78 runs.
Meanwhile, Deepti recorded a failure with the ball, conceding 34 runs off her 20 deliveries.
