In the 59th match of IPL 2024, Punjab Kings' debutant Vidwath Kaverappa struck gold as he bagged his second wicket of the day by dismissing Will Jacks for just 12 runs. The picturesque Dharamsala Stadium witnessed another moment of excellence through Kaverappa's hands as he bagged a wicket in the gap of just mere minutes after he sent Captain Faf du Plessis back.

The Karnataka bowler, bowled a slower delivery angling in on the pads, Jacks aimed at sending it behind in the leg slide but failed to get it in the gap and instead sent it straight towards the short fine leg fielder. Stationed at the short fine leg, Harshal Patel wasted no time as he dived towards his left and took a splendid catch sending Jacks packing.

It's a shame that it wasn't his day today as Jack looked in sublime form before his dismissal, his short stay on the field comprised of a six and a boundary.

Earlier in the game, Kaveerapa drew first blood as he dismissed Faf du Plessis for just 9 runs. At the time of writing, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar are cruising through as RCB is at 90/2.
