Vidwath Kaverappa has finally got his break in IPL after a long wait, and has impressed straightaway with a brilliant opening spell. He could have got the wicket of Virat Kohli in his first over, but Ashutosh Sharma dropped that catch but Kaverappa continued to hit his target and got two big wickets of Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks.
Faf du Plessis wicket came on the second delivery of the third over when Kaverappa bowled it short of good length, outside off. Faf made room and sliced it over point. However, he did not get enough power and timing to take it all the way and Shashank Singh at deep point ran forward to take a fine catch.

After the wicket of Faf du Plessis, Kaverappa got the better of Will Jacks as well to reduce RCB to 43-2 inside the Powerplay. Kaverappa has been a consistent performer for Karnataka in the last few years and his ability to swing the ball both ways, has made him a very successful bowler across formats in Indian domestic circuit.
