India A's second match of the ongoing ACC Emerging Asia Cup 2024 is underway at the Oman Stadium. The Tilak Varma-led side have locked horns against UAE A and are in the driver's seat courtesy of Rasikh Salam.
UAE won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision backfired as they lost early wickets. At the time of writing this article, UAE have lost six wickets for 82 runs.
DC's Rasikh Salam has been the pick of the bowler as he turned the course of the match by taking three wickets in a single over. Tilak introduced Rasikh into the attack in the sixth over when the UAE were 35/2.
Rasikh striked on his very first delivery and got rid of Keswani, who tried to go the aerial route but found Vaibhav Arora at mid-off. However, he hogged the headline for his second delivery when he bowled a peach of a delivery to get rid of Vishnu Sukuraman for a golden duck.
On the 2nd ball, Salam bowled a nice incoming fuller delivery towards the stumps, but the late movement away from the batter did the trick and caught Vishnu by surprise. Even keeper Prabhsimran Singh was tricked by the late movement, as he first went in the other direction and quickly dived to his left to take a brilliant low-diving catch.
It was not the end, as Salam's best wicket came on the fifth ball of the same over when he rattled Haider's middle-stump with a beautiful in-swinger that reminded the fans of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
At the time of writing this article, India are cruising towards a comfortable win as UAE are 92/7 after 13.1 overs.
