David Warner was frustrated after being given out LBW on Monday (October 16) during Australia’s World Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka in Lucknow. The veteran opener was furious at the on-field umpire, Joel Wilson, who raised his finger to ensure his stay in the middle.

Warner's wicket delivery appeared to go down the leg stump to the naked eye, but the replay after the DRS showed it just clipped the stumps, making the Australian angry in the middle.

It was a nip-backer from Dilshan Madushanka that caught Warner at the crease. A loud appeal came right away, and on-field umpire Joel Wilson took a little time before raising his finger.

Warner had a smile on his face and took the DRS straightaway. He was hoping the decision would be overturned, as it seemed in real-time. However, the replay on the big screen showed it was not the case, and the ball would have clipped the leg stump had it not hit his pads.

Warner was angry immediately. He hit his bat on his pad in frustration and kept on abusing it throughout his long-walk to the pavilion.
