Pakistan's Rizwan In Trouble; Complaint Filed Against Him In 'Controversial' Matter

Team Pakistan have travelled to India after a long duration of seven years to participate in the World Cup 2023. The most anticipated contest of the tournament was won by the Indian team as they dominated Pakistan throughout the game.

Pakistan's ace batter Mohammad Rizwan's celebration could land him in big trouble as one of the advocates of the Supreme Court of India has lodged a complaint against him for offering namaz on the field.

The complaint is lodged by Vineet Jindal who is an advocate; he has written to the ICC that what Rizwan did during the game is against the spirit of the sport.

This is the second complaint that has been filed against Rizwan, the first being when he dedicated his match-winning century to the Gaza people.

Why Mohammad Riwan could land in huge trouble?

Pakistan's keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has been playing exceptionally well in the on going World Cup 2023. He scored a match-winning century against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad following which he celebrated his knock by offering namaz.

Here's what the complainant wrote to the ICC chairman Greg Barclay

"This is a complaint about Pakistan Cricket Player, Mohammad Rizwan, who was seen offering namaz on the cricket field during his team’s opening match of the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 on Friday (October 6) against the Netherlands in Hyderabad."

There are already a lot of controversies between India and Pakistan and after Rizwan's this kind of celebration, with some people feeling like he did this on purpose. The Pakistani team has played three games so far, with Rizwan being the top scorer for them. The men in green have won two games out of three and now will head to Bengaluru to face Australia on October 20.
