The Indian team cantered themselves to easy wins over Australia, Afghanistan and Pakistan to launch their 2023 World Cup crusade on an emphatic note. Moreover, the team did so all without the services of Suryakumar Yadav, as the middle-order batter continues to find himself on the sidelines this tournament.

During India’s high-profile faceoff against Australia, Yadav was even seen eating food at the players dugout, and he abruptly stopped doing so the moment the cameras focused upon him. The hilarious incident soon went viral across social media, with India’s prominent online food ordering company Swiggy themselves taking a hilarious dig at the cricketer.

A day after India routed Pakistan in Ahmedabad, a ‘Men in Blue’ fan also attempted to make a similar joke at the expense on Yadav over the same incident, however, the cricketer had a hilarious reply in store for the X user.

Suryakumar Yadav responds to a troll with a hilarious post

An Indian cricket fan took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared Suryakumar Yadav’s food-eating moment in the players dugout. In the caption, the user asked the cricketer to stop eating and attend the ground to hit a few boundaries and sixes instead.

Yadav himself took note of the post and hilariously asked the fan to order those boundaries from Swiggy.

After two weeks of being sidelined from the playing XI, it remains to be seen if Suryakumar Yadav will make a comeback into the side at some point in the ongoing 2023 World Cup.

Team India, as of now, is slated to face Bangladesh for their subsequent challenge on October 19. Their much-awaited duel will be hosted by the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
