Skipper Pat Cummins once again emerged as the hero for Sunrisers Hyderabad as he got rid of the well-set Riyan Parag during a crucial juncture of the ongoing IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals. 

The incident occurred during the sixteenth over of this thrilling face-off when the Royals were in a commanding position, thanks to the batting exploits from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag. 

However, after Natarajan cleaned up Jaiswal, Cummins brought himself back into the attack to get Parag, swinging the game into the hosts' favour. 

The Aussie speedster had an outstanding start to the third over of his spell as he conceded only two runs off his first four deliveries. 

This built tremendous pressure on Parag, who went for a rescue shot to break the shackles in the penultimate delivery. 

However, the Assam batter, despite being set in the middle, could only mistime the ball to see a simple catch being taken by Marco Jansen. 

His untimely dismissal brought SRH right back into the contest in a time when the Royals seemed to be in a commanding position. 

As of writing, the match is inching towards a thrilling finish, with RR still needing 21 runs in 14 balls with five wickets remaining.
