In a fixture whose outcome could potentially decide who can finish where on the top of the half of the IPL 2024 points table, Punjab Kings' stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma won the toss, and opted to bat first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 69 of the ongoing edtion at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Pat Cummins, the SRH confirmed that, Rahul Tripathi, who was out of action for a while, has been recalled to the playing XI. On the other hand, Rilee Rossouw is Punjab's only foreigner in the lineup, as there is no Nathan Ellis either.
