Andre Russell has reinvented himself as an all-rounder in IPL 2024 and in the first half of Qualifier 1, he showed his class yet again with a brilliant run-out and the wicket of Pat Cummins. 

The  Jamaican got the wicket of Pat Cummins in the final over of SRH's innings. It was a shortish delivery, outside off and the SRH captain tried to pull it. However, all he got was a big top edge that went high in the air and Rahmanullah Gurbaz with his big gloves snatched it comfortably.

It was a brilliant bowling performance from Kolkata Knight Riders and the stage was set by none other than Mitchell Starc. SRH were reduced to 39-4 inside the Powerplay and then after a decent recovery, they crumbled again.

 Pat Cummins though played a handy knock of 30 at the backend and took SRH to 159, but it still looks below-par against a strong KKR batting line-up and on a flat deck at Ahmedabad. The team that will win the Qualifier 1 will storm directly into the final while the loser will play the winner of the Eliminator between RR and RCB.
