Ever since the ODI World Cup final took place on November 19 last year, Australia's 50-over captain Pat Cummins and his iconic remark of silencing Ahmedabad crowd remains the hot topic of discussion. And he did yet again on Tuesday (May 21) when Sunrisers Hyderabad were up against Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2024.

Of course, the match is taking place at Narendra Modi Stadium, the same venue where Australia handed India a heartbreaking defeat in the summit clash.

Just when KKR were at their very best against SRH, Cummins led by example to pull off a sensational counter-attack. He picked up Varun Chakravarthy's good-of-a-length delivery early during the 18th over of SRH's innings, and went for a reverse shot for a six over short third.

The ball landed straight into the KKR dugout, where one of the KKR staff picked up a stunning catch outside the boundary ropes.

Eventually, Cummins fell for a well-fought 24-ball 30, as SRH were bundled out for 159 in 19.3 overs. KKR, in reply, are 4/0 in 0.2 overs, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz opening the mark with a superb boundary.
