The start of day 3 of the fifth Test between India and Australia has not been an ideal one for India as they have lost the big wicket of Jadeja in just the third over. It was Cummins who got the big breakthrough and India were left with only Washington Sundar as a proper batter very early in the day.
It was the fourth delivery of the 35th over, and Pat Cummins came 'round the wicket to deliver almost an unplayable delivery. He angled it around off, on a good length which forcedn Jadeja to push at it. The batter did it with hard hands and ended up getting an outside edge which was easily taken by Alex Carey behind the stumps.
India In Trouble After Cummins' Early Roar
It was a big, big breakthrough for Australia very early in the day and was evident on Cummins' face as he brought out a big roar. At the time of Ravindra Jadeja's dismissal, India's lead was 151 and they would now look to push the lead as far as possible to give themselves a chance in the final innings of this series.
It was Cummins' second wicket in the innings and Australia look ahead of the game at the moment with Indian batters once again struggling to show their mettle. Rishabh Pant was the only one who displayed his class with 61 off 33 balls, and it would be interesting to see how things pan out between two quality sides.
