The IPL 2024 fever began with the encounter between Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the former's den MA Chidambaram Stadium. The whistle podu fans, who are considered among the most loyal fans were spotted chanting 'RCB, RCB...' during the game.

Recently, the Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first-ever trophy in the form of the Women's Premier League and the visuals were unreal during the recent event at the M Chinnaswamy stadium. 

However, the newly appointed captain of the Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad received a huge reception during the opening ceremony of the IPL 2024. Even though RCB suffered a batting collapse at the beginning of their innings, the fans in the yellow went bonkers when Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat got going.

The visuals were a perfect example of how IPL united the fans of two different teams and supported the one, which played better. 

DK and the young Anuj deserved the appreciation for their commendable 95-run partnership which not only brought RCB out of the collapse but also helped them post a good total.

Virat Kohli, who returned to action after a long while, ended up scoring just 21 runs off 20 deliveries. Even Faf Du Plessis, Maxwell and Cameron Green failed to score runs but in the end, it was the experienced DK and young Anuj, who played their heart out for this particular reception from the crowd.

At the time of publishing, Bengaluru have taken four of Chennai's wickets, with the home team needing 53 runs off last six overs in the chase of 174 runs.
