The first T20I between India and England is underway at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and India opted to field first. The Men in Blue got off to a blistering start as the hosts took two early wickets.
Arshdeep Singh, who was the sole frontline seamer for India, provided both the breakthroughs as the left-arm seamer got rid of Ben Duckett and Phil Salt. Singh further entered history books as he became India's leading wicket-taker with 97 wickets and went past Yuzvendra Chahal.
However, Hardik Pandya is having an off-day as he leaked runs in his first two overs. Pandya, who opened the bowling alongside Singh, was belted for four boundaries in his second over. Notably, in the 4th over of the match, Buttler went into carnage mode as he hit four fours.
