Bangladesh and Netherlands are up against each other in a crucial match 27 of T20 World Cup 2024. A win for either side will go a long way in sealing the Super 8 spot, and both teams would have hoped for a good start to the match. It was Netherlands who drew the first blood though, as Shanto was dismissed in just second over to peg Bangla Tigers back in the game.
It was Aryan Dutt who got the better of him on just the second ball of his over. It was a nicely tossed up delivery around off and Najmul Hossain Shanto, the left-handed batter went for the reverse-sweep despite a slip fielder in place and ended up hitting it straight to that fielder. Vikramjit Singh took the catch, and Shanto would be kicking himself after a suicidal shot.

After Shanto, Litton Das also departed in the fourth over as Aryan Dutt waived his magic yet again and Bangladesh would now need their middle order to fire if they want to get to a competitive total at St. Vincent.
Earlier, Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first and they would be hoping that they continue the momentum they have gained after early wickets and keep chipping in with wickets at regular intervals.
