Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam, showed his batting prowess with two consecutive half-centuries in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. However, in his third appearance, he fell short, managing only 31 runs off 26 balls against Multan Sultan.

But just before getting out to Usama Mir, he was in sublime form once again, effortlessly finding the boundaries and clearing the ropes with ease. His quick innings included five boundaries.

However, the pair of sixes he launched against Abbas Afridi, the Multan Sultan's fast bowler, were a sight to behold. They came off the second and fifth deliveries of the fifth over, both pitched at a good length.

Just as he seemed to be settling in, Usama Mir entered the attack in the ninth over and sent down a well-flighted delivery on the stumps. Babar Azam attempted to sweep it towards the short boundary, but completely misjudged it, resulting in the ball crashing into the stumps.

Before this game, the right-hander delivered strong performances, scoring 72 and 68 runs against Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Despite his efforts, Peshawar Zalmi suffered losses in both matches.
