Virat Kohli and Babar Azam's cover-drive comparison has been the talk of the town for many years. Both of them are masters of cover-drive and it is treat to watch both of them play that shot time and again, across formats. Now, in the big game between India and Pakistan at World Cup 2023, Babar Azam has showed his class once again with a glorious cover drive off the bowling of Shardul Thakur. 

Interestingly, the fielder at covers was Virat Kohli who dived full-length but just could not stop a glorious cover drive hit off the middle of the blade from Babar Azam.

Talking about the ball by Shardul Thakur, it was a fullish delivery, outside off. Babar Azam leaned forward and creamed it through the covers beautifully to beat a valiant diving effort from Virat Kohli at covers. It was the 19th over of the game and both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are batting quite well, frustrating the capacity crowd assembled at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

At the time of writing, Pakistan are 103-2 at the end of 20 overs and India need to break this partnership to keep Pakistan under check.
