The first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh took an unexpected turn when Babar Azam, a key player for the Men In Green, departed for a silver duck in the very first session of Day 1. This early wicket, courtesy of Shoriful Islam, sent shockwaves through the Pakistani team and left them completely rattled.

In the 8th over, Shoriful Islam delivered a back-of-a-length ball outside the leg stump. Babar, in his trigger movement, attempted to guide the ball, but a slight touch was enough. Litton Das, with his early movement and full dive, showcased his fielding prowess, securing a one-handed stunner to dismiss Babar Azam.

Pakistan Lose Shan Masood Early

Earlier, Pakistan were jolted after skipper Shan Masood was declared OUT in what can only be described as a controversial decision. The tension was palpable as he even had a spat with the umpire and looked extremely furious as he was forced to walk back for just six runs off 11 balls.

At the time of writing, Pakistan is at 23/1, and both PAK batters, Saud Shakeel and Saim Ayub, are out in the middle, hoping to revive the innings.
