Shivam Dube's performances have been the talk of the town in this T20 World Cup, and despite failures on the way, the southpaw has played couple of good knocks. There were calls of his removal too, but Indian team management was pretty clear in how they wanted to use Dube, and persisted with him throughout the group stage and Super 8.

Now, Stephen Fleming, the former New Zealand skipper and head coach of CSK has also praised Rohit Sharma-led India for using Shivam Dube carefully. He reckoned that Dube is a powerful spin-hitter and if the pitches assist spin-bowling, he is a player who can make a big impact.

Fleming also mentioned that India have batters around Shivam Dube who are in form and that provides the left-hander the license to go from the ball one.

Shivam Dube was in great form in Indian Premier League 2024, and played a key role in CSK's success in the first half of the season. He was selected on the back of those performances in the World Cup squad and came good against USA and Australia, after failing to get going in rest of the games.
