India are currently taking on the England team in the second T20I of the five-match series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Indian team will be looking to maintain their dominance from the first match of the series in Kolkata and stretch their lead in the series further.
Suryakumar Yadav, captain of the Indian team, won the toss ahead of the game and opted to field first. The opening bowler of the Indian team and the ICC T20I cricketer of the year 2024 gave the home team a brilliant start with a wicket in the first over.
Phil Salt To Falls To Arshdeep Singh Once More
Much like the first match, Arshdeep managed to trap Phil Salt off a short delivery again in this game. It was the fourth delivery of the first over when Arshdeep bowled a shorter delivery that was angled away from the batter. Salt rocked back to his back foot and tried to loft the ball over the mid-wicket fence. However, he did not get the connection right and was caught in the deep by Washington Sundar.
Immediately after the dismissal, the bowler was seen celebrating uniquely. Arshdeep Singh reminded the fans of Shoaib Akhtar's vintage 'aeroplane celebration'.
Notably, this is the second time that Arshdeep has dismissed Phil Salt in the series. The English batter has turned into a bunny for the left-arm pacer and would be looking to break the streak in the next game.
