In the ongoing Super 8 tie between India and Bangladesh, the Men in Blue, batting first, put 196 runs on the board, the highest at this venue in this World Cup edition.

In reply, Bangladesh got off to a positive start as they stitched a 35-run stand for the first wicket. The Tigers were 66/1 at one point, but then Kuldeep Yadav came to the attack and changed the course of the match.

Yadav, who was included in the playing XI since the start of the Super 8 round, took three wickets in his four overs to put India back in the driver's seat. 

He also got rid of dangerous Towhid Hridoy, who holds the record for the highest ODI score for Bangladesh on debut. On the first ball of the 11th over, Kuldeep bowled a peach of a leg-spin delivery which Hridoy failed to read and was plumbed in front of wicket.

Hridoy could not make any impact in the game as he returned to the pavilion with a score of 4 (6). At the time of writing this article, Bangladesh are 116/6 in 17 overs.
