Match 18 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 is witnessed a high-scoring encounter between Barbados Royals and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Kensington Oval.
Batting first Patriots slammed 220 runs on the board, with heavy contributions coming from Andre Fletcher, Will Smeed, and Sherfane Rutherford.
Both Fletcher and Smeed added 115 runs for the first wicket, the highest this season. While Smeed took more of the aerial route, Fletcher opted to hit runs on the ground.
However, Fletcher did manage to unshackle his chains and smash Roelof van der Merwe for a massive six in the fourth over itself.
The West Indies player put on his dancing shoes, came down the track, and struck Merwe for a massive 102-m six that went over the bowler's head and the roof.

The wicketkeeper batter eventually fell for a 37-ball 56 which included seven fours and one six. Smeed registered a quick-fire 36-ball ball 63, laced with five fours and four sixes, while skipper Rutherford scored 65 off 27.
Rahkeem Cornwall came out all guns blazing in reply and smashed 102 off 48 balls before getting retired hut. Barbados skipper, Rovman Powell also delivered some mighty blows and stayed unbeaten with 49 off 26 balls as Royals chased down the target of 221 with 11 balls to spare.
